In only 3 minutes of cold exposure during cryotherapy, your health will be taken to the next level! It’s an invigorating full-body treatment that truly works from the inside out, helping you to see mental and physical results in a short period of time.
What is Cryotherapy?
During this whole-body session, your body is subjected to extreme cold temperatures (up to -200°F), initially causing blood vessels to constrict, moving blood away from the limbs, and toward the vital organs. This natural, protective response to the extreme cold triggers several systems of healing within the body: the immune system boosts white blood cell count, the circulatory system ramps up productivity, and the endocrine system jumps into action with a hormonal response that includes the release of endorphins–the ”feel good” chemical into the bloodstream. The biochemical processes that occur at this time consume a great quantity of energy, which has also been attributed to fat loss in patients.
how it affects your body
Skin: The outer skin is briefly “frozen” activating increased production of collagen in deeper layers of the skin.
Endocrine: The extreme cold exposure causes to the body to turn up its metabolic rate in order to produce heat, helping the body to “burn” up to 800 kcal for up to 5-8 hours later.
Musculoskeletal: The anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties of cryotherapy can drastically improve joint disorders such as rheumatoid and osteoarthritis.
Immune System: Cryotherapy improves the function of the immune system and decreases stress levels.

"Short bursts of cold therapy may also increase the antioxidants glutathione and superoxide dismutase, which help support liver and immune function, optimize cellular function, and protect against oxidative stress."
